The Foothills Event Center is slated to host two wine tasting fundraisers this week and next. The funds from these events will benefit local Nevada County schools: Ghidotti Early College High School and Bitney College Preparatory High School.
This Friday, November 6th, Ghidotti will host their wine tasting fundraiser and raffle, called “Stock-Your-Cellar 2015,” from 7:15-9:30pm. David Luce of Alta Sierra Wine Seller will be here to walk attendees through 12 different wines and discuss their flavors and pairings. As a complement to the wines, mini appetizers will be served. You can buy a ticket at EventBrite.com. Stock Your Cellar 2015 is hosted by the Ghidotti PTC. Part of their aim is to raise money for school supplies and activities when funds are not available from other sources. The Foothills Event Center is thrilled to provide a venue for Ghidotti; they were one of our non-profit grant recipients!
Next week, on Friday, November 13th, Bitney College Prep is hosting their 3rd Annual Wine Tasting fundraiser. David Luce, of Alta Sierra Wine Shop will be at this fundraiser as well, to educate people about the wines presented – attendees will taste 12 different wines and discuss their flavors and pairings. As a complement to the wines, mini appetizers will be served. Harpist Rosa Taylor will provide live music, and there will be a raffle and silent auction as well.The event will be held from 6:30-9pm. Tickets are only $15! You can purchase tickets here at the Foothills Event Center or online at BrownPaperTickets.com. The event helps raise much needed funds for technology upgrades to help prepare students to be ready for, and relevant to the world.
