Each week, we shoot a “Tip Tuesday” video on Facebook and stream it live for you to view. On Tip Tuesdays, our goal is to give you info on the latest wedding trends, event planning tips, advice for having your event at the Foothills, wedding tips, DIY projects for your event, and ideas for decor for your wedding/event. Last Tuesday, our Event Manager Megan Swinney introduced a brand-new member of the Foothills team, Ariel Benavente. Ariel joins us with a wealth of experience in customer service, having formerly worked as the manager at Yuba Blue, a popular shop in downtown Grass Valley.
In the video, Megan and Ariel appeared live from the beautiful patio at the Foothills! Our patio can seat up to 40 people using tables and chairs. We can easily transform this space for your event! We’ve had customers use the patio for auction items at their non-profit fundraiser, and others use it as the designated area for the cocktail hour at a wedding. The patio is well-lit, so you can use it long after the sun has set. Also, we have heaters you may use for chilly nights, and our fire pits make for great ambiance for your event!
The Foothills Event Center’s parking lot is unique to Nevada County venues because we can provide you with off-street parking for up to 140 of your guests! It’s well-lit to ensure safety, and we have a few different light settings that you can choose from. The parking lot is ADA-compliant with plenty of handicapped spots. There are parking spots that are situated very close to the building for your older guests, as well as the ability to pull right up to the front door and drop guests off.
