We invite you to experience a day of family-style Italian dining here at the Foothills Event Center, with catering from Granzella’s. On Saturday, March 10th from noon to 3:00 pm, we’ll be hosting a genuine Bagna Cauda luncheon. This Italian garlic feast includes assorted vegetables, chicken, beef, shrimp, and bread which are dipped one-by-one into the garlicky rich dip. We invite you to revel in this delicious dish, savor premium wine, and enjoy good company.

Are you wondering what in the world “Bagna Cauda” means? The term Bagna Cauda is from Italian “bagno caldo,” which literally means hot bath. Bagna Cauda is a delicious meal created right at your table from butter, garlic, anchovies, and olive oil. Your meal is served hot over a spirit burner with meat and fresh vegetables. This luncheon is sure to be a hit with the family! Or, bring your sweetheart for a deliciously unique date.

Our caterer for this event, Granzella’s, have been hosting very popular Bagna Cauda events for more than 20 years with an authentic recipe. The original version of their recipe is preserved in the Accedemia Italiana della Cucina.

If you love garlic you’ll want to be first in line to get a spot at this Bagna Cauda! In fact, Bagna Caudas have been characterized as a “celebration of heritage, camaraderie, and an affinity for consuming garlic!”

With Italian wines, liqueurs, live music, and a silent auction, we invite you to enjoy the tastes and traditions of a Bagna Cauda on March 10th at The Foothills Event Center in Grass Valley. If you love Italian cuisine and drink, this is going to be a unique opportunity to experience an authentic meal which is rarely seen outside of Italy or Italian families.

This Bagna Cauda is a fundraiser for local Nevada County non-profit Lifetime Adoption Foundation. The Lifetime Adoption Foundation raises funds to help babies and children find forever families. The Foothills bar will open at noon for social hour and lunch will be served at 1:00 pm. Please call the Foothills Event Center at 530-271-1000 to purchase tickets.
