On Sunday, August 23rd, The Foothills Event Center is hosting a fun painting class! Our subject will be a beautiful scene from the South Yuba River. The class is put on by Come Paint With Us, which regularly hosts ongoing classes that offer a fun day or evening of easy painting with friends, while enjoying wine, snacks and fine art. If you’ve been to the South Yuba River where it runs by Nevada City, you know that it’s quite peaceful and picturesque. It makes a perfect scene for a painting! Sunday’s painting subject, “Yuba River Scene,” is a gorgeous re-creation of the experience you have when going to the river. Remember your serene experience by painting it. You’ll be able to enjoy it every day in your home or office. Or, you can gift it to someone who loves trips to the river! Our artist instructor included golden tones in the painting, to represent the Wild West and gold rush that occurred in Northern California in the 1800s.
