The Foothills Event Center is honored that The Union, our local newspaper, chose our event venue to host their annual “Best of Nevada County” luncheon! The luncheon was catered by a local favorite, the Mexican restaurant Maria’s. To match the food, The Union’s Best of Nevada County luncheon was decorated with a Spanish flair. The awards luncheon was infused with some fun as well, in the form of a DIY photo booth with backdrops.
Don Rogers, the publisher of the publication, was the emcee and speaker for this year’s luncheon. The keynote speech was delivered by Chris Enss, a local writer. A grand total of 4,343 votes were cast for these awards, and around 200 guests from all over Nevada County were in attendance at the luncheon. Guests first gathered their food from the two buffets, and then sat down for the presentation. Plaques were awarded to the individuals and businesses who won “Best of Nevada County 2016”, so that they may hang up them up proudly at their respective establishments.
Joy Porter, Founder of Winding Road Imagery was awarded best photographer in Nevada County. “What an honor to be among the BEST in our Nevada County. At Winding Road Imagery, we want to thank you for your love and support – it means the world to us! Your vote means trust and a love for our work – we APPRECIATE YOU and your votes!! We can’t wait to see what 2017 brings!” exclaimed Porter. Winding Road Imagery is one of the Foothills Event Center’s preferred vendors, and in fact, each of the photos from the Best of Nevada County luncheon we’ve used in this post were taken by the photographer.
