The Foothills Event Center was the Nevada County venue of choice for a fundraiser for local non-profit organization One Source – Empowering Caregivers. They held their first annual HeART & Wine Gala at the Foothills a couple of weeks ago, and we’re sharing a short video from that evening with you today!
You might remember that we wrote about this inspiring non-profit and their benefit event here on our blog earlier this month. If you missed that post, here it is: Empowering Caregivers to Hold First Annual Fundraiser at the Foothills. This local non-profit organization held a silent auction featuring original works of art from many local artists, including TF Morgan, Roy Church, Judy Adams, Cheri Merrifield and Yvon Dockter.
The HeART and Wine Gala fundraiser included live music from four different groups, Purdon’s Crossing, Earles of Newtown, Sibling Revelry, and the Ruckrich Family Band. Lots of people enjoyed dancing to the Americana sounds of the Earles of Newtown, as you can see in the photo to the right. Get a sampling of the Earles of Newton’s stylings by watching our video below; the music used throughout our video is the Earles of Newtown. Their music samples Texas and Western Swing, as well as early era Harlem, New Orleans and Hot Jazz, creating a unique sound called “Swingin’ Dixie.”
As you can see in our video below, the place was packed for an entertaining evening full of awesome music, food, wine, an art auction and more!
