Four local Nevada County music legends will perform at Tunes, Tales, and AlesIf you like acoustic guitar picking, singer-songwriters, and beer, then you’ll love this upcoming event! On Saturday, July 28th at 7:30 pm, we’re hosting a concert called It’s Happening at The Foothills: Tunes, Tales, and Ales.

The event will include the musical stylings of local talent, including Dakota Sid Clifford, Rob Bonner, Paul Emery, and Kelly Fleming. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. General admission tickets are $25 and can be purchased online or at the Briar Patch. Active members of the military and veterans receive a special ticket rate of $20. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at our bar. Available ales include Sierra Nevada, Modelo, Stella, Sam Adams, and Corona.

The Foothills is eager to welcome to the stage four legends of music in Nevada County: Dakota Sid Clifford, Rob Bonner, Paul Emery, and Kelly Fleming. All four musicians will appear onstage together for the first time at this concert!

Dakota Sid Clifford began writing songs in high school on an old Gibson J50, about his experience with the changing human condition. His goal is to create songs which are not only historically accurate but also touch on the reality of the human condition with the whimsy of a poet. Rob Bonner is a founding member of the South Loomis Quickstep band and has been teaching guitar classes at Sierra College for 25 years. Paul Emery is a professional musician who also restores vintage recordings. He’s been producing concerts for over 40 years, has toured Europe four times, and founded a record label. Kelly Fleming, a natural-born, self-taught musician, is a fixture in the local music scene. He has a broad musical range and has played with many other local bands and musicians, including Paul Emery.

We hope that you can join us for an evening of Tunes, Tales and Ales! It’ll be a fun night of acoustic picking and storytelling.
