We think there’s no time more fitting than now to say “thank you” to all of our clients, vendors, performers, musicians, and guests for a fabulous 2018. Here’s to another year of celebrating, dining, imbibing, and dancing at our upscale Nevada County event venue. We wish you a New Year of health, happiness, and prosperity!
2018 was a lively, busy year here at the Foothills! We added market lights and sheers to our decor, creating an elegant yet inviting ambiance to our large event space. We were delighted by the addition of a baby grand piano to our space, providing pleasant background music for events and celebrations.
2018 also marked the inception of our concert series, “It’s Happening at the Foothills,” welcoming acts like country music star Lacy J. Dalton and folk group The Rita Hosking Trio, as well as the Tom Petty Birthday Bash event. Two benefits for victims of the fires were held at the Foothills in 2018. We hosted the Carr Fire Benefit Concert in October and were the event venue of choice for The Salvation Army’s Paradise Victims Fundraiser this year.

10. “Relish an Italian Bagna Cauda in Grass Valley!”
We put on an authentic Bagna Cauda feast and celebration as a fundraiser for local Nevada County non-profit Lifetime Adoption Foundation. This authentic Italian feast included assorted vegetables, chicken, beef, shrimp, and bread, dipped one-by-one into a garlicky rich dip.

We excitedly announced the completion of the installation of a Solar Electric Energy System, making us the most eco-friendly event venue in Nevada County!

Our live concert series It’s Happening at The Foothills brought the band Petty Luv to the stage to celebrate the legacy of Tom Petty’s music, on what would have been his 68th birthday.

At the beginning of the year, a Nevada County non-profit organization called The Cinderella Project held a delightful tea party and fashion show fundraiser at the Foothills. The organization tries to ensure that any high school student who can’t afford to attend prom can do so.

Many concerned Nevada County citizens wonder how they can help the survivors of the Camp Fire. To provide assistance to victims, The Salvation Army of Grass Valley held a holiday fundraiser at the Foothills last weekend.
