Keith Greeninger and Dayan Kai are two powerful folk musicians who combine stunning vocal harmonies, award-winning songwriting, and effortless musical collaboration. On Sunday, June 9, at 7:30 pm, The Center for the Arts will present Keith Greeninger, Dayan Kai, and opening act Achilles Wheel Trio Quartet, live in concert at The Foothills Event Center as part of their “OnTheGo” concert series.
Both Greeninger and Kai are critically acclaimed solo artists in their own right. So when these two longtime friends perform together, it’s a truly inspiring musical experience! Together, these two musicians create a distinct and soulful sound that’s touched audiences across the country and made them a favorite at festivals and venues throughout the US and Canada.
Keith Greeninger is an award-winning songwriter and a captivating performer. With nothing more than a guitar and a song with a story to share, Greeninger completely captivates his audiences. He’s the type of performer for whom people lean forward in their seats, absorbing every note and every word. For the past 20 years, he’s toured the national Folk and Americana circuit extensive. Greeninger has won the top songwriting awards at the Telluride Blue Grass Festival, The Kerrville, and Napa Valley Folk Festivals. Greeninger will have a special pre-release version of the new CD, Human Citizen, available for purchase at the concert.
Dayan Kai has been performing with Greeninger for two decades. Born without sight, Kai began playing classical piano at two. He plays a wide array of musical instruments with mesmerizing ease. With his harmonic voice, Kai moves fluidly between guitars, keyboards, wind instruments, and percussion, and creates a rich backdrop for duo’s expansive songs.
