If you would like to teach a class or hold a hybrid workshop with virtual attendees and with a few in-person attendees, our ballroom can safely space everyone 6 to 8 feet apart, within the county guidelines. We also have a private conference room available with a TV and an outside patio available for a variety of uses.

We can’t have large gatherings, but we can have special classes, workshops, or seminars. Masks are required at all times in our facility, and we will check temperatures of each of the attendees upon arrival.

If you want to create additional income for your business, you might want to hold a class or training; for example, an attorney or insurance broker can hold a corporate training and team-building event. Another option, is team-building with our Come Paint with Us classes.

Hours available for your class or workshop are weekdays 8-5, evenings, and weekends. Just give us a call or text 530-271-1000 for more information.

Foothills Events Availability During COVID-19

Life in our Foothills Community certainly has changed over the last few months. Every aspect of our lives has been affected, and we are all adjusting to a new normal. While the health of our Foothills Team and the people we serve remains our top priority, we also know we have a responsibility to support our community as we slowly begin the phased reopening of Nevada County and the State of California.

We have offered both federal and state governments, as well as our local Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital and Dignity Health the use of the Foothills Event Center, should it be needed for emergency services. We want to serve in any way we can.

When we are able to reopen for larger meetings, gatherings, and social events, we will do so with safety as our top priority. We have modified our cleaning and sanitizing procedures and will continue to seek counsel for improvement from the federal and state governments, as well as the CDC.

The message that every one of our Team Members would like to communicate to you is this: “We miss you and are eager to continue helping you plan your meetings and events! As soon as we are able, we will welcome you back safely.”

We are continuing to assist those with events planned for late summer and beyond through a variety of virtual options, including online planning and purchasing tools, video conferences, screen sharing, and simple phone calls. We can complete all necessary paperwork using electronic signatures. While our approach is slightly different than what we have done in the past, people can continue to count on us to use all of our resources to help them plan all types of events, from weddings to memorial services, business meetings and non-profit fundraisers. Just because we can’t gather today, doesn’t mean we have to stop planning for the future!

To help reinforce social distancing guidelines when we are able to reopen, we are creating new floorplans and incorporating new procedures for events. Because the health and safety of our Foothills Team and communities are our top priority, we will continually re-evaluate our procedures to comply with recommendations. That way, we can ensure that everyone is equipped with the appropriate equipment and our facilities remain safe and welcoming spaces.

We all have a great sense of pride and ownership in the community we serve. This ongoing national health crisis only strengthens our commitment and our desire to continue to serve Nevada County with the same high levels of care and dedication you’ve seen in the past. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all families, friends, and communities impacted by the COVID-19, please know that we are here to serve our community in any way we can.

We’re all in this together!
