street-of-dreams-crowdFor the second year in a row, the Foothills Event Center will be the hosting the Nevada County Habitat for Humanity’s annual fundraiser, “Street of Dreams”! The event starts at 6:00 pm on Friday, September 30, 2016. The fundraiser includes hundreds of excellent auction items, and all proceeds benefit the Nevada County Habitat for Humanity in its mission to construct affordable homes in Nevada County. Last year when we hosted the Street of Dreams event, it was an exhilarating and inspiring night, and this year is sure to be the same.

We hope you can make it! It’ll be a night of fun bidding competition, networking, silent and live auctions, and incredible food. The event will be catered by Antonio Ayestaran, who has received gold, silver and bronze medals for his work. At our historic Gold Country bar, wine, beer, and other beverages will be available. Proceeds will go directly to building houses in the Heritage Oaks Neighborhood, which is a multiple 16 home development on Joyce Drive in Grass Valley.

Additional ticket options include a reserved table for eight ($350), the monthly giver rate ($35), and a Habitat volunteer ticket ($35).

There will be some fabulous auction items up for bidding, including a gift certificate to a fun paint and wine night from Come Paint With Us. Habitat for Humanity will hold both a competitive silent auction as well a boisterous live action. Every dollar raised from this event helps to complete the next affordable home for a hardworking family.

We believe that every person should have the opportunity to live with dignity and that every person has something to contribute and to gain by strengthening our community. We believe that dignity and hope are best achieved through equitable and accountable partnerships. We believe in responsible stewardship of all resources entrusted to us. We view our work as successful when it transforms lives for generations and promotes positive, lasting social and economic change and when it is based on mutual trust and shared accomplishment in our community.”
