Recently the Foothills Event Center held the annual wedding show “His & Hers Wedded Affair”, hosted by NCWeds, Nevada County Wedding and Event Destination Specialists. Co-founder and host Donna Hoekstra from Joy of Life Events proved her passion for what she does with her outstanding booth and her organizational skills, overseeing the fair at large.
Wedding services ranging from catering to photography were presented, and wedding needs were addressed during the two-day fair. Vendors were pleased with the turn out and happy to address all inquiries. Fun events at the show included a garter toss giveaway, beauty lounge, DIY demonstrations, bridal toss giveaways, and live music by Ivan Najera.
The bridal show was a two-day event, with the focus on the groom-to-be on Saturday and the focus on the bride-to-be Sunday. Saturday offered grooms a tapas and beer pairing, along with live music by Daniel Zuckerman. On Sunday, brides-to-be were offered complimentary champagne and mimosas to enjoy as they perused vendor booths. In the Beauty Lounge, “day of” pampering services were highlighted. DIY (“Do it Yourself”) demonstrations were offered in order to spark the creativity of the brides-to-be as they design the wedding of their dreams. Daniel Zuckerman and Mountain Event Productions were present once again to provide the music for the afternoon, and took suggestions for “special request” songs. Greg from Mountain Event Productions MC’ed the event on Sunday, and also announced the hourly Bridal Toss Giveaways.
At the show, visitors were invited to dream and discover new ideas. They left inspired and encouraged, seeing how easy it is to make the biggest day in life a wonderful event.
