The Foothills Event Center is conveniently located just off Highway 49 in Grass Valley, California. Its central location makes it easy to get to from anywhere in Nevada County. If you’ve invited guests from out of the area, they should have an easy time finding us.
Highway 49 has a rich history and journeys through quite a few mining communities from the gold rush era. The highway is numbered after the “49ers”: immigrants who came to Northern California in search of gold. The part that goes from Grass Valley to Nevada City is known as the Golden Center Freeway.

- I-80 E: Follow signs for Reno
- Follow I-80 E to Auburn.
- Take the CA-49 exit for Grass Valley
- Turn left: CA-193 W/CA-49 N
- Continue on CA-20 E.
- Exit Idaho Maryland Rd
From Reno/Truckee
- Follow I-80 W
- Exit CA-20 W to Grass Valley.
- Take the Idaho Maryland Rd Exit
