On Saturday, October 13th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm, we’re hosting a Carr Fire benefit concert. We hope that you can join us as we raise funds for the Shasta Regional Community Foundation and the Haven Humane Society! This benefit is part of our “It’s Happening at The Foothills” concert series. We’ll have performances from The Rayos and Rewind Press Play, two great local bands. All proceeds will go to families and pets displaced by the Carr Fire.
Our doors will open at 6:00 pm, so you can grab a drink and reserve a seat before the event officially begins at 7:00. We’ll have wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and refreshments available for purchase at our bar.
The Carr Fire burned 229,651 acres in Shasta and Trinity Counties. It’s the sixth-most destructive fire in California history, destroying at least 1,604 structures (at least 1,077 were homes) and damaging 277 others. The fire was reported on July 23 and 100% contained on August 30, 2018. It caused over $1.659 billion in damages. (source)
The Shasta Regional Community Foundation is a nonprofit, public charity serving the people of Shasta and Siskiyou counties. Formed in 2000, they strive to connect those who care with causes that matter, so that the future can be stronger and healthier. “We are honored to be a trusted recipient to manage these funds for the greatest good in the Carr Fire recovery,” says Kerry Caranci, Chief Executive Officer of Shasta Regional Community Foundation.
The Haven Humane Society was founded in 1952, and provides care for lost, homeless, and abused animals in the Redding area. “We are very proud to have earned a reputation for providing the gold standard in quality animal care throughout Shasta County and beyond. But the biggest reward comes from carrying out our founders’ purpose; giving animals a safe haven and helping them transition to happy lives in loving homes,” the organization shares on their website.
Tickets for the Carr Fire Benefit Concert are $15 apiece, or you can purchase a four-pack for $50. You may purchase your tickets at Briar Patch, here at the Foothills, or online:
