Wedding dress shopping with friendsThere’s no doubt that planning a wedding is a time-consuming process. But if you have a crazy-busy schedule, it’s nearly impossible to find the time to put together this big event!

Luckily, with our time-saving wedding tips, you and your fiancé can balance your lives along with wedding planning. Plan your big day as efficiently as possible with these 7 tips:

1. Hire Recommended Vendors

Find a team of vendors who have worked together before. Your wedding planning process will go much more smoothly when you find a vendor team that can work together in harmony. Ask your venue which vendors they recommend. At the Foothills Event Center, we maintain a list of preferred vendors, and we’d be happy to share it with you!

2. Use a Wedding Planner

If you lead an extremely busy life due to long work hours, school, or a medical residency, you’ll want to have a wedding planner by your side. It’s true that hiring a wedding planner creates an extra expense, but it’ll save you lots of time in the long run.

For couples who lead a very hectic life, hiring a full-service wedding planner is recommended. They will essentially run the show for you— communicating with your vendor team, narrowing down vendor choices, and making sure all of the to-do’s get done so you can focus on your non-wedding-related life.

3. Select an All-Inclusive Venue

Early in your wedding planning process, find an all-inclusive wedding venue that offers other services on top of the space. If you’ve just started looking for event venues and won’t have a lot of time to plan your wedding, this is a major time-saving wedding tip! When you choose the Foothills Event Center as your wedding venue, you can also rent your china, silverware, glassware, linens, and flower arrangements from us! In addition, you’ll have an on-site host throughout your wedding, full sound system with a wireless microphone, Thrust-style stage, specialty lights a private bridal suite for preparation, and bar packages.

4. Check for Availability Online

A big time suck when you’re planning your wedding is calling or stopping by a ton of places just to ask if they’re available. Fortunately, our website allows you to easily see if we’re available and skip this annoying step. Just start a chat with one of our friendly Event Coordinators, or send us an email!

5. Delegate

If your schedule is absolutely packed, and your family and friends have offered to help plan your wedding, don’t be afraid to take them up on the offer. You might even ask them to handle more significant tasks for you, especially if they know how busy you are. For example, if you trust your sister, you might put her in charge of booking your baker for your wedding cake. Or maybe your best man can figure out the DJ situation.

6. Stay Off Pinterest

When you have a super-busy schedule, you don’t have time to waste. So avoid inspiration overload by staying off Pinterest. You need to be able to make choices quickly, and that becomes more difficult when you look at all of the ideas presented by wedding magazines and Pinterest boards. It’s totally okay to check out wedding inspo sometimes, just don’t go overboard.

7. Don’t DIY

Taking on a DIY project or two for your wedding will save you money. But if your free time is limited, trying to create things yourself might be more trouble than it’s worth. Yes, you could build your own centerpieces, but do you really have time for it? And what if you hate the result? When you’re super-busy, leave these projects to the professionals. It’s money well spent!
