The Foothills has held a wide variety of events, including weddings, fundraisers, memorials, comedy shows, paint and sip classes, and concerts. And next week, our venue will be one of the sites of Camp Gan Izzy of the Foothills. In addition, the Foothills Event Center is one of the proud sponsors and partners of Camp Gan Izzy!
Camp Gan Izzy is a week-long Jewish summer camp for children ages three to 13 filled with activities, daily field trips, and Jewish pride. The camp is run by Mrs. Chyena Yusewitz, program coordinator at Chabad of Grass Valley. The Foothills Event Center will be home to the happiest campers in Nevada County!
“What I think keeps the campers returning year after year is the love and the warmth they feel here,” says Yusewitz. “The camper to counselor ratio is superb, and each child develops a wonderful connection with his or her counselor.”
Workshops taking place at Camp Gan Izzy will include beading, canvas painting, Kosher cooking, Judaica crafts, and Krav Maga with a professional instructor. The children will also get to go on day trips to go rock climbing, swimming, bowling, laser tag, bounce houses, and more.
This year, the children at Camp Gan Izzy get to experience a canvas painting class at the Foothills, with supplies provided by Come Paint With Us. Painting classes are such a fun summer activity for children!
At a painting class, children can have lots of fun, freely experiment with colors and shapes, and unleash their inner creativity. If you give children a little direction, encouragement, and a few ideas, their creative energy can light up the room!
A Come Paint With Us class is the perfect team-building activity for the summertime because they take place in our fully climate-controlled venue! We’ve designed our classes to be fun corporate gatherings, and our venue can hold up to 200 for private classes and corporate events. You can choose from a wide variety of paintings for your corporate paint party, or request that one of our artists design a custom painting for your event.
